Program Name (DBA): Stewards of the ʻĀina Recycling Outreach
Stewards of the ʻĀina Recycling Outreach is a faith-driven, youth-powered environmental ministry operated under the covering of Stewards of Creation Fellowship, a recognized 508(c)(1)(A) religious nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to educate, empower, and engage the next generation in caring for God’s creation through hands-on recycling and community service.
Our recycling pickup and outreach services are offered on a donation-based model. We do not charge mandatory service fees. Instead, we invite voluntary recurring or one-time donations to help support:
– Youth stipends for environmental work and leadership training
– Fuel, equipment, and materials used in collection and sorting
– Community education on sustainable living and mālama ʻāina (stewardship of the land)
A portion of donations also supports long-term environmental restoration and sustainability goals, including:
– Acquiring land to serve as living examples of mālama ʻāina — where we can grow organic food for the community
– Protecting and reforesting with native and endemic species
– Creating hands-on opportunities for youth and families to serve, restore, and steward the ʻāina
– Building a permanent, spiritually rooted space for environmental outreach and food sovereignty
Suggested Monthly Donation: $20
All donations go directly toward advancing our mission and sustaining both immediate services and long-term restoration efforts.
No one will be denied service due to inability or choice not to donate. Participation in the outreach is open to all families and individuals in our service area, regardless of religious affiliation or financial capacity.
As a ministry of Stewards of Creation Fellowship, Stewards of the ʻĀina is a function of a 508(c)(1)(A) tax-exempt church organization. All donations received:
– Are used solely to further our charitable and religious mission
– Are not used for private benefit or commercial profit
– Payments made to Stewards of the ‘Aina for services such as curbside recycling are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions under IRS regulations, as they are made in exchange for goods and/or services.
By signing up for recurring donations, you authorize us to collect the agreed-upon amount monthly. You may change or cancel your donation at any time through your zeffy.com account or by contacting us at:
